Tailwin (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Tailwin mobile application (“App”).

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, name or display name, associated rowing club, and authentication identifiers.

User-Generated Data & Workout Metrics

We collect data you choose to log or provide, including workout metrics (such as 2k, 5k, and 6k scores, total meters, times, splits, and workout dates), workout streaks, and performance statistics.

Claimed Race Results

To help you build your athletic profile, our App allows you to search for and "claim" historical regatta results from public timing databases. When you claim a race, we store the association between your Tailwin account and that public race record (which includes race name, crew, rank, and final time).

Device & Usage Information

We may collect limited technical information such as device type, app operating system, app version, and crash logs to improve app reliability and diagnose performance issues.

2. Public Visibility and Social Features

Tailwin is designed to foster community, track athletic development, and showcase performance to coaches and recruiters.

Athlete Search and Public Profiles

By default, user profiles are public. This means other registered users can search for you by your name, display name, or associated rowing club. If your profile is public, other users can view:

• Your display name and rowing club.
• Your claimed historical race results.
• Your logged workout metrics and benchmark erg scores (such as 2k, 5k, or 6k times).

Profile Privacy Controls

We believe you should have control over your data. You can manage your visibility at any time in the App's settings:

• Public Profile: Your profile, claimed races, and logged metrics are visible to the Tailwin community and searchable.
• Private Profile: Your profile is hidden from search results, and your logged metrics and claimed races are kept private, visible only to you.

3. Data Integrity and Enforcement

To maintain a fair, accurate, and trustworthy community leaderboard, all users must submit honest and accurate performance data.

• Accuracy Policy: Falsifying workout metrics or submitting fraudulent scores violates our Terms of Service.
• Enforcement: We reserve the right to audit suspicious or physically unrealistic scores. Accounts found submitting fraudulent performance data are subject to immediate and permanent suspension, including the complete removal of all historical data.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and support the App.
• Display public profiles, search directories, and leaderboards.
• Link public regatta results to your profile at your request.
• Monitor, detect, and prevent fraudulent performance logs.
• Respond to customer support requests and enforce our integrity policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only with service providers required to host and operate the App (such as database and authentication providers) or when legally required to do so.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time within the App's settings menu. Deleting your account permanently and irreversibly removes your personal data, logged workout metrics, account identifiers, and claimed race associations from our active databases.

7. Children’s Privacy

Tailwin is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, we encourage you to discuss your use of this App and the public visibility of your data with a parent or guardian.
